Change to school schedule leading up to Christmas Break In an effort to finish semester exams and get materials and chromebooks distributed, we will have school with students on Friday and Monday. We will then have a practice remote day on Tuesday. This day will also count as a day of instruction. Teachers will be noting the number of students who attend this virtual session. We will be sending home student Chromebooks and chargers on Monday. If you do not want your child to bring home a Chromebook please notify your child's school. They will need a device to connect to the virtual day. Teachers will be scheduling a short class on Tuesday for all students. Although it will not count against students attendance if they can not log in, teachers will be taking attendance of those who do connect. Please assist your student in joining their class during their designated time. This will assist in determining any connectivity issues that the students may have and how we can work with families to resolve those. This remote learning day will assist the district in gathering data to determine the opportunity for success with students in the future if we need to move to remote instruction. I can't emphasize enough that we are planning to return to school on January 5th with in-person learning. In the event we would be required to close by state or local government, we have an excessive number of students out as a result of quarantine, inability to staff our buildings, excessive number of snow days, or any other unforeseen circumstances we may be forced to use remote learning. Thank you for the support that you have given the school in our efforts to keep our doors open.

Thank your Bus Driver. Wolf Creek has the best bus drivers. Tonight commute was very difficult. Our drivers done an outstanding job returning all there children home safely. In their minds it was probably just another day on the job. However, it important we let them know how much we appreciate the job the do each and everyday. Especially tonight. Also Thank you to Darren Ball, Tom Neill and Andrew Bauerbach for their assistance in a couple of situations tonight. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

We only have 7 more days until Christmas Break. It is our goal to keep school running as normal as possible for those 7 days. We greatly appreciate all that you have done for the staff and students during this pandemic. I also must commend our staff and students on how they have worked to make this year happen in person. In the past few days we have needed to quarantine several students and staff throughout the district. Many of those are a result of close contacts with a positive COVID case. It is very important that if you have a child that is ill, that they remain home until they are symptom free. A reminder that common symptoms of COVID-19 are: Loss of Taste or Smell Fever - but not always Cough Sore Throat Shortness of Breath Fatigue Diarrhea or vomiting Runny nose Body and/or muscle aches This is not a conclusive list of symptoms. Also, please remember that COVID-19 is not the only illness that is hitting our area. If your child is displaying any symptoms of illness, please keep them home. I would like to repeat the message that if someone in your household is experiencing COVID like symptoms please keep your child or children home. If your children have been exposed to someone who has tested positive please keep them home and monitor them and report this to the school. Children who arrive at school with symptoms will be sent home. When a child has been exposed to a positive case, they need to stay home and quarantine for a minimum of 10 days. Please contact the school to report this exposure so that the student can be excused during this quarantine and to get further quarantine instructions. . The Staff is working very hard to keep our doors open and the students in the classrooms, we need some additional assistance in keeping students exhibiting any type of illness home until they are symptom free. December 4th, 2020 To the Waterford Community, As we all know, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused many changes to the school year, especially when it comes to sporting events. In a recent press conference Governor Mike DeWine recommended that schools participating in winter sports through the month of December should either have no spectators or limit spectators to parents. The Wolf Creek Local School District will be allowing spectators to attend games, but spectators will be limited. Below are the guidelines we will be implementing for winter sports as of today, December 4th, 2020, until further notice: Each student-athlete will be allowed 4 spectators for each game. Spectators will be limited to the following: Parents Grandparents Siblings There will be a sign-in sheet at the ticket table for each spectator to sign in. Student-athletes who do not use their 4 spots will not be allowed to give their empty spot to another student-athlete. Tickets will be $5 and you will pay when you arrive at the game. As a reminder, masks are required to be worn at all times while attending a sporting event. There will be no spectators at wrestling tournaments hosted at Waterford.
