A.L.I.C.E Training and School Safety

In light of recent events, Waterford Elementary School is ever focused on maintaining the safety of our students and staff. If an issue or threat were to arise, Waterford Elementary School would immediately alert law enforcement and would actively investigate the validity of any threat to the safety of our students and school. Please be vigilant of the social media posts of your children and their friends. If you see something— say something! Immediately alert the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the administration of Wolf Creek Local Schools. We will continue to work diligently to provide the safest learning environment for our students and with your help and vigilance, we will continue to be a successful team.

On Monday, March 19th, 2018, teachers and staff at Waterford Elementary School will be participating in our yearly A.L.I.C.E Training provided by the Washington County Sheriff's Office. This training will occur after school and will not include any students. ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) Training instructor led classes provide preparation and a plan for individuals and organizations on how to more proactively handle the threat of an aggressive intruder or active shooter event. Please know that Waterford Elementary Teachers and Staff are ever committed to maintaining the safety of our students. Should you have any additional questions, please feel free to contact Mrs. Jana Thomas, Principal of Waterford Elementary School, at any time.
