Boys Basketball:

The varsity boys had a thrilling come from behind win over Caldwell with a 65-58 win on Saturday. The JV boys also played in a nail biter against Caldwell walking away with a 32-30 win. The JHS boys split against Trimble, with the 8th grade team winning 55-25 and the 7th grade team falling 29-27.

 

Girls Basketball:

The varsity girls got their season off to a strong start with a 58-44 road win over Trimble. JV girls played Morgan on Monday and lost 35-31. They played Philo on Wednesday and lost 41-33 in double OT. They then closed the weekend out with a dominating 40-15 win over Marietta HS on Marietta College’s home court. The 8th grade girls defeated Trimble 35-12 on the road, and fell to Warren 37-25 at home. The 7th grade girls fell 31-19 to Warren.

Wrestling:

The wrestling season got off to a quick start when the JHS squad earned a dominant win at their season opening home tournament. Winning their weight classes were Ethan Beardmore (116), Lane Cline (122), Coen Wagner (128), Ivan Clark (134), Dylan Taylor (142), and Judson Cooper (172). Dustin Doak finished second in the 116 lb class behind his teammate, while Travis Root finished second in the 150 lb class.
